"Importers' Meeting in Cologne, Germany
I attended a meeting of Royal Enfield
importers in Cologne, Germany at the
large International IMTERMOT Motorcycle
Show. Our hosts were Royal Enfield
Motors and the German importers who
had a beautiful booth at the show.
The meetings were good and we saw
drawings and a prototype of two new bikes which are due in 2008.
It was surprising to me that all of us importers agreed that the
new bikes were wonderful. We got an update on progress toward
meeting the new Euro 3 emissions norms as well as the upcoming
US standards. Royal Enfield is out in front of these changes.
We will have no problem complying so a steady stream of new
product is assured. We got a chance to meet and pick the brains
of many of the new corps of engineers at Royal Enfield. A bright
bunch of fresh minds!! We got updates on some of the new
improvements at the factory such as the new multi-million dollar
state-of-the-art paint shop which has been ordered! I ran into
the German fellow who is putting the Hatz diesels into Royal Enfields.
Do not call us about these. We are not importing them and they
are not readily available even in Germany. He is a very small company
with no desire to grow and he sells all that he can produce. He had
a prototype which ran on vegetable oil which was interesting. I will
provide his e-mail address so those of you who can’t help yourselves
can contact him directly"
Ca serait chouette de voir ces croquis de protos...
Quelqu'un a t'il des infos à ce sujet ? Francis peut être ?
