Many thanks to all at the Rassemblement for a great welcome, and kind hospitality.
A beautiful part of the French countryside, and even good local beer, France is certainly looking up.
We all had a good trip, and all got home safely without any injury or harm which is always the most important.
The only breakdowns we had was on my Enfield, The main chain broke on the peage and newly hit Steve following me. Luckily I had a spare , so it was just a matter of fitting, adjusting and away.
Then about 40 miles (65 kms) from home the rear wheel bearings decided to collapse, This was right on and exit on the motorway so I was able to get off, again spare bearings were carried in the Elephant bags, so wheel out repair and home.
In all from leaving home to arriving back a total of 1500 miles 2500kms. and using 1 litre of oil in the engine for the whole trip.
I'm glad that the fried Spam rolls with Branston pickle were admired, maybe next year I can find another delicacy to tempt French hunger.
